On the stunning north Norfolk coast, Titchwell Marsh is one the RSPB’s most visited reserves. It has something for everyone, from beginners to seasoned birdwatchers on the lookout for a rarity.
Hundreds of thousands of migrating birds pass through in spring and autumn, and many spend winter here, giving you an unrivalled opportunity to see many species of ducks, waders, seabirds and geese.
In spring and summer, Titchwell is home to the RSPB’s emblem bird, the avocet; this rare wader has nested on the lagoons since 1984.
There are three nature trails – the Meadow Trail, the Fen Trail and the West Bank Trail. The paths and hides are accessible to all visitors. Use the hides for close-up views (please enter and leave quietly to avoid disturbing birds). There are posters in the hides to help you identify the birds.
